Broadcasting 24 hours a day on Dialog TV, Heritage Television will be the only channel of its kind to showcase the richness of Sri Lanka’s Heritage to viewers in Sri Lanka.With a Visual Media career that began in 1983 in the halls of Rupavahini and continuing as Creative Director and Programmes Director for Swarnavahini, Hema Nalin Karunaratne is considered an icon in the field of television media. In his twenty fifth year in the industry,Heritage Television was born, combining experience and a brand new outlook for the future of television entertainment in Sri Lanka.
Since September 2008 Heritage Television has reached out to over a Million Sri Lankan migrant workers in 150 countries on Sri TV, giving them the opportunity to catch a glimpse of Sri Lanka wherever they may be.
The focus of our program lineup is fixed solely on Sri Lanka’s natural, folk and cultural heritage with emphasis on educating ourselves on the larger global culture as well. Our Documentaries, Magazine programs, Entertainment Programs and Talk shows touch on every relevant topic that we believe revives interest in the culture of Sri Lanka bringing about a great cultural resurgence on local Television.
